I would LOVE this book – mostly because I'm watching a few friends seriously struggle and would love Emily's thoughts on how to support them and be a friend through this. (But if I don't win, I'll likely end up getting it anyway!) – thanks for the giveaway!

(also, my heart is happy that you're back to regularly scheduled posts! But I'm glad you were able to take the time away)

I've been struggling with an eating disorder for many years now and last year when I was 19 I finally decided to enter outpatient treatment for it. Almost a year later, I'm struggling more than ever and I think it has a lot to do with the fact that my parents/friends do not know how to help/support me. I want my life back, I don't want to be fighting for it any longer, but I need people in my life who know how to help me reach that goal. I would love to be able to give a copy of this book to my loved ones so they can learn more and know how to help me/support me, I think it could help so much!

People need to read this, whether for themselves or another. An amazing friend said to me the other day that "it's back" and I knew exactly what she was talking about before she elaborated. This book hits the "it" on the head. God's incredible power through the vulnerable, brokenness of your book. Wow.

    (and I'm just in time)

  70. As someone who battled an eating disorder for years, this really hit home for me. I would love to have this as a tool to help other women (and men) love the bodies that God created for them and get through their eating disorders. Thank you Emily Wierenga for writing about your past struggles to help others, that is truly amazing.
